The North Shore Opera Hour

Luis Antonio Galvez-Alcantara, Director of Music at Mary, Mother of Divne Grace Parish in Westchester, Ilinois, is a native of Lima, Peru, and Founder and Executive Director of North Shore Opera Hour. He has received the most distinguished award offered by the Association of Peruvian Institutions in the U.S. and Canada for his excellence and commitment to the Peruvian community as a valuable contributor to promoting cultural diversity. He is on the faculty at Old Town School of Music at Columbia College and teaches piano and voice in the Chicagoland area. Most recently he has been appointed the Director of the Chicago Metro Chorus, a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
